Puṅgī (English spelling)
A snake charmer's flute used in India. The mouthpiece is made from a bottle-shaped gourd, into which two flutes made from bamboo or animal bones are inserted. One flute has three to five finger holes and plays a melody, while the other has no finger holes and plays a continuous drone. [Matoba Yuko]
