German journalist. Pen name Ludolf Vineta. Born in Altona. In 1833, he gave an intensive course on modern literature as a private lecturer at the University of Kiel, and published the notes of those lectures in 1834, dedicated to the Young Germans, in which he dedicated his book The Conquest of Aesthetics. This book, which positioned "prose as a weapon" as the most important literary genre, became the theoretical backbone of their "literary revolution" movement. Repeated bans and exiles forced him into a state of flux, and he eventually fell into mental illness and died in Schleswig.

ドイツのジャーナリスト。筆名Ludolf Vineta。アルトナに生まれる。1833年，キール大学私講師として現代文学に関する集中講義をおこない，その時の講義録をもとに，青年ドイツ派に捧げる《美学征伐》を出版(1834)。〈武器としての散文〉を最も重要な文学ジャンルに位置づけたこの書は，彼らの〈文学革命〉運動の理論的支柱となる。たび重なる発禁処分と追放令により，彼は流転をよぎなくされ，ついに精神病に陥りシュレスウィヒで没した。
