Blazer - burezah (English spelling) blazer

Blazer - burezah (English spelling) blazer

A lightweight, sporty jacket. A derivative of blaze, which means flame or shining like a flame. Originally, it was a scarlet jacket worn by the rowing team at Cambridge University, and the name blazer was used from the 1880s. There is also a theory that the name comes from the bright vertical stripes of the jacket. Its main features are a tailored collar, double or single-breasted, a club badge (crest) on the left breast pocket, metal buttons, and patch pockets on both sides. Flannel has traditionally been used, and it is available in solid colors such as red, navy blue, white, black, beige, and gray, as well as stripes, checks, and twill. As was adopted for the uniforms of the Japanese athletes at the Tokyo Olympics, it has come to be worn by people of all ages and genders as uniforms for sports organizations, school uniforms, casual wear, and leisure wear.
