Prasinophyceae - Prasinosourui (English spelling)

Japanese: プラシノ藻類 - プラシノそうるい（英語表記）Prasinophyceae

A class of plant classification established by T. Christensen in 1962 when they separated them from the Chlorophyceae. They are similar to the Chlorophytes in that they have chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b as photosynthetic pigments and store starch, but their main differences include that the main initial product of photosynthesis is mannitol, the main component of the cell wall is not cellulose but a substance that produces galactose and uronic acid through hydrolysis, and they have scales and trichomes on the surface of the flagellum. The only known method of reproduction is asexual reproduction by zoospores.

クリステンセンT.Christensenが1962年に緑藻綱から分離して創設した植物分類系の1綱。光合成色素にクロロフィルaとクロロフィルbをもち，デンプンを貯蔵する点は緑藻類に似るが，光合成の主要な初期産物がマンニットであること，細胞壁の主要構成物質がセルロースでなく，加水分解によりガラクトースやウロン酸を生成する物質であること，鞭毛の表面に鱗片や小毛をもつことなどがおもな差異点である。生殖は遊走子による無性生殖のみが知られる。
