Futatsui [town] - Futatsui
A former town in Yamamoto County in northern Akita Prefecture. It has a large forested area and is a center of Akita cedar production. There is a large timber yard in the main settlement of Futatsui along the Yoneshiro River, and lumber, plywood and furniture manufacturing are thriving. The Ou Main Line runs through the town. It was incorporated into Noshiro City in March 2006. 181.40 km2 . 12,089 people (2003).
