A Japanese sake from Shimane. The name of the sake comes from the fact that the first head of the family celebrated his first battle at the age of 17 as a horse-riding warrior of the Hiroshima domain. "Tsunano" is a daiginjo sake made by a Tsuwano brewer using rice polished to 40%. It has a light, dry taste. Other varieties include junmai ginjo, junmai, and honjozo. It won gold medals at the National New Sake Tasting Competition in 1990, 1993, and 1999. The main rice used is Sakanishiki. The brewing water is Tensen, a spring water from the foot of Mt. Aono. The brewery, Furuhashi Sake Brewery, was founded in 1878. It is located in Ushiroda, Tsuwano-cho, Kashima-gun. Source: Kodansha [Sake, Honkaku Shochu, Awamori] Brand Collection Information |
