Fujiwara no Kanesuke - Fujiwara no Kanesuke

Japanese: 藤原兼輔 - ふじわらのかねすけ
Fujiwara no Kanesuke - Fujiwara no Kanesuke

A poet of the early Heian period. One of the Thirty-Six Immortal Poets. He was the great-grandson of Kan'in Left Minister Fujiwara Fuyutsugu, and his father was Toshimoto. He became a Chunagon of Junior Third Rank, and was known as Tsutsumi Chunagon because his residence was near the banks of the Kamo River. He was favored by Emperor Daigo, and had a close relationship with his cousin and father-in-law, Sanjo Right Minister Fujiwara Sadakata, and was also a patron of cultural figures of the time, including Ki no Tsurayuki. The Tales of Yamato contains many anecdotes about the group that centered around him. His family anthology includes the Kanesukeshu, and it is said that he compiled Prince Shotoku's Denryaku.

Although the heart of a parent is not dark, he or she is confused in the way they think about their child.
