Born on July 15, 1910. Joined PCL (now Toho) in 1937. After the war, he resigned and founded Fujimoto Productions, which produced the hit "Aoi Sanmyaku" (Blue Mountains), and later returned to Toho as a director and vice president. Other works included the "Wakadaisho" series. Died on May 2, 1979. Age 68. Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Graduated from Keio Senior High School.
