A Nagauta singer. There are three generations, but the first is the most famous. (1) First Generation (1714-71, Shotoku 4-Meiwa 8): Founder of the Fujita school of Nagauta. A master of Nagauta from the end of the Horeki era (1751-64) to the Meiwa era (1764-72). He learned Itchu-bushi from the first Miyakodayu Wakana, the owner of Fushimi-ya in Urimono-cho, Edo. He later became a disciple of the Kabuki actor Sanogawa Mankiku, and took the name Sanogawa Senzo. He is said to have been well-received for singing and playing the koto on stage, as well as Bungo-bushi. He later switched to being a tayu of Itchu-bushi, and took the name Miyakodayu Wakana II. 長唄の唄方。3世を数えるが初世が著名。(1)初世(1714‐71∥正徳4‐明和8) 長唄富士田派の流祖。宝暦(1751‐64)末期から明和(1764‐72)期にかけての長唄の名人。江戸乗物町伏見屋の主人初世都太夫和中から一中節(いつちゆうぶし)を学ぶ。のち歌舞伎俳優佐野川万菊の門弟となり,佐野川千蔵と名のる。舞台で箏の弾き語りや豊後節を語って好評を博したという。のちに一中節の太夫に転向して2世都太夫和中を名のった。
