In Indian philosophy, this is a view of Brahman and the individual self. It is also called the theory of non-discrimination. It is a position that teaches that Brahman, the one and only fundamental principle of the universe, and the various phenomenal world are different in some ways and the same in other ways. Famous scholars include Nimbarka and Bhaskara of the Vedanta school, who based their commentary on the Brahma-Sutra on this view.
