German baritone. He made his debut as a concert singer in Freiburg in 1947, and as an opera singer in Berlin in 1948. Since then, he has been active in both opera and concert singing. As both an opera singer and a concert singer, he boasts a high level of singing ability and a wide repertoire, many of which he has recorded. In particular, he has recorded works of German Lieder that are not generally well known.
