The leaves are opposite, obovate-oblong, 4-8 cm long, entire with rounded tips, leathery and shiny on the upper surface, and grayish-white with dense scaly hairs on the underside. Small, cymose heads are borne at the ends of the branches, and produce small yellow flowers. The calyx is about 3 mm long and deeply divided into 5 lobes, with sharp lobes and hairy edges. The corolla is about 5 mm in diameter, opens flat, and has a short tube at the base. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
