(1) A form of tomb from the Silla period in Korea. Two circular tombs were built at different times to bury two deceased persons in close proximity to each other, and part of the earlier mound was removed to add a new one. For example, the Hwangnamdaetzuka in Gyeongju has two tombs, each 80m in diameter, placed side by side from north to south with a long diameter of 120m, meaning that one-quarter of the earlier mound was destroyed. It is known that the Hwangnamdaetzuka was a couple's tomb, with the man buried in the earlier southern tomb and the woman buried in the newly added northern tomb.
