A family of 15th-century Venetian painters. The Vivarini family consisted of Antonio Vivarini (c. 1415-c. 1476 or 84), his brother Bartolomeo V. (c. 1432-c. 1491), and Antonio's son Alvise V. (c. 1446-c. 1503 or 05). Antonio worked with the German painter Giovanni d'Alemagna to produce The Coronation of the Virgin (1444, San Pantaleone, Venice), a mixture of Gothic, Byzantine, and Renaissance styles.
