Hawai [town] - Hawai
An old town in the northern part of Tohaku County, central Tottori Prefecture. The main settlement, Hashizu, was the shipping port for rice during the feudal era. The area produced a lot of rice, and also cultivated 20th century pears and grapes. Remains of the ancient jori system remain, as well as the Hashizu Tomb Group (historic site) and Ugo Onsen. In October 2004, it merged with Tomari Village and Togo Town in Tohaku County to form Yurihama Town. 12.22 km2 . 8,027 people (2003).

鳥取県中部,東伯(とうはく)郡北部の旧町。主集落の橋津は藩政時代,廻米の積出港であった。米を多産し,二十世紀ナシ,ブドウも栽培。古代条里制遺構が残存し,橋津古墳群(史跡),羽合温泉がある。2004年10月東伯郡泊村,東郷町と合併し,湯梨浜町となる。12.22km2。8027人(2003)。
