A collection of similar works compiled towards the end of the Muromachi period. 20 volumes, 20 books of old editions. As the editor, a certain monk, wrote in the preface written in 1532 (Tenbun 1), this work compiles a total of 737 entries, including 201 selected entries from "Chiribukuro" (Dust Bag) and appended to the volumes of the already circulating "Satsuma Sho." With medieval scholarship, it explains historical events both Buddhist and secular, and serves as a direct source for understanding the flavor of medieval learning, customs, and language. Included in "Dai Nippon Bukkyo Zensho." [Yasuo Yoshikawa] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
