Lord Kanashi - Ushuganashi

...During the reign of Sho Shin, who reigned for 50 years from 1477 to 1526, he became an absolute ruler, called "Tida (the Sun)" and "Lord of the World." He was also known by the nickname "Ushiyuganashi." In 1872 (Meiji 5), the Meiji government, intending to unify the Ryukyus, gave him the title of "King of the Ryukyu Domain," and in 1879 abolished the kingdom and established Okinawa Prefecture (the Ryukyu Disposition).
