Paris and his son - Paris Fushi

Japanese: パリス父子 - パリスふし
Paris and his son - Paris Fushi
A pair of French scholars. The father, Paulin Paris (1800-81), was a scholar of medieval literature. Born in Abunay, Marne, as the son of a notary, he studied law in Paris, but he loved literature and attempted to translate the complete works of Byron, writing A Vindication of Romanticism (1824). Due to financial needs, he became a librarian at the Royal Library (1826), where he read and mastered ancient medieval French manuscripts. He published works such as The Belt of Bigfoot, Galand of Lorraine, and The Tales of Antioch, and was highly praised for his explanatory catalogue of seven volumes of medieval French manuscripts.
