Hasetsu-so - Hasetsu-so

Japanese:
Hasetsu-so - Hasetsu-so
An ancient Todaiji temple estate located in Niikawa County, Etchu Province. It was established based on an imperial grant in 749, as a result of field reclamation by Todaiji Temple land reclamation envoy monk Heiyo and others. In the 759 Todaiji Etchu Province Estate General Certificate and the Revitalized Land Map, 84 cho of land is recorded as Jadebe Village and Jadebe Field Land. At the time, the cultivated land area was 36 cho 4 tan, but the 767 Etchu Province Office Notice states that Jadebe Village had a total area of 76 cho 3 tan 290 bu, and it is known that development had progressed significantly during this period. In the Etchu Province Office Notice of the same year, it appears as Jadebe Manor. The land area increased slightly after that, but by 998, like other manors, the land had already fallen into disrepair. There are theories that the location of the site is the area around the Jobenoma ruins in Nyuzen Town, Toyama Prefecture, or the coastal area in Namerikawa City, Toyama Prefecture, but based on the number of rows recorded on the Kaida Map and the location of Jobebe Town, Shinkawa County, listed in the Wamyō Ruijushō, it is highly likely that the site covered an area from the eastern part of the former Mizuhashi Town in Toyama City to the northern part of Namerikawa City.
