Born: May 5, 1851. Luke [Died] January 29, 1919. Neapolitan actor. He began performing on stage as a child and formed his own theater company in 1884. He toured Italy, Europe, and the United States, playing Goldoni's comedies, Othello, King Lear, Shylock, Hamlet, and other roles, and became famous.
