Palmate

…In frogs, waterfowl, otters, and some other mammals, the toes help them paddle when swimming or diving. Birds have toes that are classified according to the degree of development of the webbing, as totipalmate (all four toes are webbing, only in the Pelecaniformes), palmate (the front three toes are webbing, only in the Pelecaniformes), or palmate (the front three toes are webbing, only in the Pelecaniformes).
