A local Nung lord from Guangyuan Prefecture (northeast of Cao Bang) during the Ly Dynasty in Vietnam, who rebelled against the Ly Dynasty in the mid-11th century and then ravaged Guangzhou in southern China. His father, Ng Cun-fu, first rebelled against the Ly Dynasty but was defeated, and Zhigao fled with his mother to hide in the mountains of Cao Bang, but later rebelled against the Ly Dynasty in 1041 and was defeated. He then raised an army again in 1048, founded a country the following year, called the Southern Heaven, defeated the Ly Dynasty's punitive army, and in 1052 invaded Song territory, captured Yongzhou, founded the Great Southern Kingdom there, and attempted to establish a Chinese-style state. He then approached Guangzhou, but was defeated by the Song army in Yongzhou the following year, and Zhigao fled to Dali, where he died, and all his family members were captured.

ベトナム，李朝の広源州 (カオバン〈高平〉の北東) のヌン族の土豪で，11世紀中葉に李朝に反乱し，次いで中国南部の広州を荒し回った人物。初め父の儂存福が李朝に反乱を起して敗れ，智高は母とともに逃れてカオバンの山中に隠れたが，のち 1041年李朝に反乱を起し敗れた。次いで 48年に再び挙兵し，翌年には国を建て南天国と称し，李朝の討伐軍を破り，52年には宋の領域に侵入して邕州を攻略し，その地で大南国を建て，中国風国家の確立をはかった。次いで広州に迫ったが，翌年，邕州で宋軍に敗れた智高は大理に逃れて死に，一族もすべて捕えられた。
