Nuu tribe (Angry tribe) - Nuu (English spelling) Nù zú

Japanese: ヌー族(怒族) - ヌーぞく（英語表記）Nù zú

One of China's ethnic minorities. They live mainly in Bijiang County, Fugong County, and Gongshan Dulong Nu Autonomous County in Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The population was about 27,200 (1990). Nu belongs to the Tibeto-Burman language family, and its dialects vary considerably from region to region. Gongshan Nu is relatively close to Dulong, and since the Nu people live next to the Lisu people, many of them can speak Lisu. They refer to themselves in a variety of ways, including Dusu (Bijiang), Anu (Fugong), and Along (Gongshan).

中国の少数民族の一つ。おもに雲南省怒江リス(傈僳)族自治州の碧江県，福貢県，貢山トールン(独竜)族ヌー族自治県に居住する。人口は約2万7200(1990)。ヌー語はチベット･ビルマ語派に属し，その方言は地域によってかなりの差が見いだされる。貢山ヌー語はトールン語と比較的近く，またヌー族はリス族と居住地が隣接していることから，リス語が話せる者が多い。その自称は〈怒蘇〉(碧江)，〈阿怒〉(福貢)，〈阿竜〉(貢山)など多種存する。
