Year of death: 27th February 1335 Year of birth: 1288 A nobleman in the late Kamakura period. His father was Kanemoto and his mother was the daughter of Fujiwara Tameaki. His son was Yoshimoto. He was called Gokomyoshoin-dono. In 1313 he became Minister of the Left, and the following year he was promoted to Junior First Rank. In the fifth year he was appointed Regent, but resigned in 1318. He was held accountable by the Kamakura Shogunate on April 10, 1332 (Shokei 1/Genko 2) for his involvement in Emperor Go-Daigo's second anti-shogunate movement, and was placed in the care of his father Kanemoto. However, once the Emperor's anti-shogunate movement was successful he became Minister of the Left and head of the clan. His diary includes the "Gokomyoshoin Regent Dohei-koki."
