A town in Yoichi District, Hokkaido. The main settlement is along the Yoichi River, where the Hakodate Main Line runs. The alluvial land along the Yoichi River is fertile, and it is one of the leading fruit and vegetable producing areas in Hokkaido. Area: 167.96 km2 . Population: 3,800 (2010).
