Rope weaving - Nawanai

The title of a Kyogen piece. Taro Kaja Kyogen. A master who lost a gambling game ends up betting on his servant, Taro Kaja, and sends him to the other party, Someone. When Someone tells him the story for the first time, he sulks and refuses to work when he is ordered to run errands and tie ropes. Angered, Someone goes to argue with the master, who says he will make him work and asks him to trick him and let him go home, so Someone challenges him again and this time lies about getting the rope back. The master returns home happy and when he is ordered to tie ropes by the master, he starts to tie ropes obediently, and tells the master, who is holding the end of the rope behind him, about the state of Someone's house. The story changes from badmouthing Someone's wife to talking about bullying children, and when he turns around, he notices that the master has been replaced by Someone. Someone chases the surprised Kaja, who runs away. The reason why the audience does not find the insulting remarks made by the Crown Prince particularly unpleasant is probably because they sympathize with the situation the Crown Prince finds himself in.
