〘 noun 〙 ("Kan" means sincerity. The "n" in "kanjo" is omitted.) A petition when seeking an official position or filing a lawsuit. A petition. Kanjo. ※Taiheiki (late 14th century) 1 "The monks of Yokokawa, the temple gate, sometimes presented petitions to the Imperial Court."
