Abnormal sweating due to mental sweating is called palmoplantar hyperhidrosis, and thin peeling of the skin on the fingertips, palms, and soles is called authidiasis. People who eat a lot of citrus fruits may excrete the pigment carotene along with sweat, causing the palms and soles to turn yellow, a condition called authidiasis. The so-called "prickly heat" refers to miliaria caused by sweating and when this develops into eczema, and "more common than prickly heat" is multiple sweat gland abscess, which is a bacterial infection of miliaria.
