…It is also called farce. The etymology of the word comes from the French farce (stuffed minced meat), which is derived from the Latin farcire (to stuff). There are two theories about it: one is that it means a short piece inserted like a filler between the acts of the main play, such as a religious drama (a religious drama), during a medieval theatrical performance, and the other is that it means a short piece filled with various regional dialects, slang, puns, and miscellaneous humor. The pioneering work is thought to be The Boy and the Blind Man from the late 13th century, and, although in different genres, fabliaux and the Fox's Tale, but the rise of farce itself was in the 15th century. …
