〘名〙 先のほうに鏑をつけ、先端に鏃(やじり)をつけた矢。飛ぶ時に鏑の穴から空気がはいって大きな音響を発する。鏑矢。鳴矢。なるかぶら。めいてき。※古事記(712)上「亦鳴鏑(なりかぶら)を大野の中に射入れて、其の矢を採ら令めたまふ」
