The name of a piece of Japanese performing arts or music. (1) The title of a kyogen komai (small dance). It is found in both the Okura and Izumi schools. In the Okura school, it is called "Nanatsu ni Naruko," and in the Izumi school, it is also called "Kitasaga" or "Ochamenoto," an old name for the komai. It is a song made from the words of a wet nurse to soothe an infant. It is performed in kyogen pieces such as "Boushi," "Hikuzu," "Iori no Ume," and "Futari Hakama," and is also performed as an independent komai. [Hata Akira] (2) The title of a jiuta (small song). 日本の芸能,音楽の作品名。(1)狂言小舞(こまい)の曲名。大蔵,和泉両流にある。大蔵流では《七つに成子(なるこ)》と称し,和泉流では古名を《北嵯峨》《おちゃめのと》ともいう。乳母が幼な児をあやすことばを歌謡化したもの。狂言《棒縛》《簸屑(ひくず)》《庵の梅》《二人袴》などのなかで舞われるほか,独立した小舞としても演じられる。【羽田 昶】(2)地歌の曲名。《七つになる子》とも。三味線組歌。柳川検校作曲ともいう。
