Iranian communist poet. Born in Kermanshah. At a young age, he participated in the Iranian constitutional revolution movement. In 1908, he fought against the royal forces in Rasht, and in 1914 fled to Istanbul and became a communist. In 1921, he led a revolt in Tabriz, and after the defeat, he fled to the Soviet Union. He was involved in the communist movement through poetry in Uzbekistan and the Tajik Republic, and wrote lyric poems of longing for his homeland, expressing the progress of the revolutionary movement in his homeland. Many of his works are permeated with anti-dictatorship and anti-fascism. [Yamada Minoru]

イランの共産主義者詩人。ケルマンシャーの出身。若くしてイラン立憲革命運動に参加。1908年ラシュトで宮廷派軍と戦い，14年イスタンブールに亡命し共産主義者となる。21年タブリーズで反乱を指導し，敗北後ソ連に亡命。ウズベクおよびタジク共和国において詩作による共産主義運動に携わり，故国における革命運動の進展を望郷の抒情詩に託した。反専制･反ファシズムに貫かれた作品が多い。【山田稔】
