1887‐1957 Iranian communist poet. Born in Kermanshah. At a young age, he participated in the Iranian constitutional revolution movement. In 1908, he fought against the royal forces in Rasht, and in 1914 fled to Istanbul and became a communist. In 1921, he led a revolt in Tabriz, and after the defeat, he fled to the Soviet Union. He was involved in the communist movement through poetry in Uzbekistan and the Tajik Republic, and wrote lyric poems of longing for his homeland, expressing the progress of the revolutionary movement in his homeland.
