A town in Nishisonogi County in the southern part of Nagasaki Prefecture. It borders Omura Bay to the north and Nagasaki City to the south, and is served by the Nagasaki Main Line. The town produces citrus fruits and has been rapidly developed into a residential area. It is home to Michinoo Onsen, and Mount Kotonoo (451m) offers a great view of Omura Bay. Area: 28.73 km2 . 長崎県南部，西彼杵(にしそのぎ)郡の町。北は大村湾，南は長崎市に接し，長崎本線が通じる。柑橘(かんきつ)類を産し，住宅地化が著しい。道ノ尾温泉があり，琴ノ尾岳（451m）は大村湾の好展望地。28.73km2。４万2535人（2010）。
