Torque - Toruku (English spelling)

This is the moment of force acting on a rotating shaft that transmits power, and is also called the torsional moment. If the transmitted power of this rotating shaft is P kW and the number of revolutions per minute is n , then the torque T (unit: newton meters N・m) acting on the shaft is given by T = 9.55 P / n (N・m). This torque is a quantity expressed as the product of force and distance, and is calculated by multiplying the force required to rotate the shaft by the distance from the shaft center. Therefore, to generate the same torque, the farther the distance from the center, the smaller the force required.
