A provision established to prevent the occurrence of a specific act or state. In jurisprudence, it is the concept opposite to a provision of effect. A provision that restricts or prohibits certain acts against private individuals, an example of which is police legislation. Since the purpose of this provision is to maintain public safety and order, sanctions are imposed on violations and measures such as restoring the status quo are taken, but in principle, this does not affect the effect of legal acts that are performed in violation of the restriction or prohibition.
