A shamisen player of Gidayubushi. (1) First Generation (1777-1824, An'ei 6-Bunsei 7) Founder of the Toyosawa school. Born in Osaka. A disciple of the second generation Takezawa Yaichi. Originally named Takezawa Genkichi. First performed in 1791 (Kansei 3). Changed his name to Takezawa Gon'emon the second in 1802 (Kyowa 2) and to Takezawa Yaichi the third in 1808 (Bunka 5). In 1811 he changed his surname to Toyosawa and took the name Hirosuke. (2) Second Generation (?-1860 (Man'en 1)) A disciple of the first generation. First performed at the Onishi Theater in 1806 (Bunka 3) under the name Takezawa Yoshimatsu. 義太夫節の三味線演奏者。(1)初世(1777‐1824∥安永6‐文政7) 豊沢派の祖。大坂の生れ。2世竹沢弥七の門弟。初名竹沢源吉。1791年(寛政3)初出座。1802年(享和2)に2世竹沢権右衛門,08年(文化5)に3世竹沢弥七と改名。11年に豊沢と改姓し,広助と名のった。(2)2世(?‐1860(万延1)) 初世の門弟。1806年(文化3)竹沢吉松の名で大西芝居へ初出座。豊沢言平,権平,団平,仙左衛門などを名のったのち,26年(文政9)に2世相続。
