Japanese: 塗覆装 - とふくそう

A type of corrosion prevention method for metal materials, aimed at insulating the material from the environment. While anticorrosive paints usually last 5 to 7 years, and heavy-duty paints around 15 years, in order to provide a corrosion prevention effect of 20 years or more, lining is usually done with a sheet or membrane of an organic coating material that has been pre-formed. Corrosion prevention targets include underground pipelines, oil storage tanks, marine structures (especially splash zones and tidal zones where corrosion is severe), and exterior building materials. Sheet materials that are used include nylon, epoxy resin, polyvinyl chloride resin, fluororesin, chlorinated polyether, natural rubber, neoprene, and fluororubber.

金属材料の防食法の一種で，環境と材料との絶縁を目的とした方法。防食塗装が通常5～7年，重防食塗装で15年程度の寿命であるのに対し，20年以上の防食効果をもたせるために，通常はあらかじめ製膜してある有機質被覆材料のシートやメンブレン(皮膜)をライニング加工する。防食対象となるのは地中埋設パイプライン，石油貯蔵用タンク，海洋構造物(とくに腐食の激しい飛沫帯や干満帯が対象となる)，建材の外装などである。シート材料としてはナイロン，エポキシ樹脂，塩化ビニル樹脂，フッ素樹脂，塩素化ポリエーテル，天然ゴム，ネオプレン，フッ素ゴムなどが用いられる。
