Land Condition Map - Tochigi Prefecture

Japanese: 土地条件図 - とちじょうけんず
Land Condition Map - Tochigi Prefecture

The Geospatial Information Authority of Japan has been producing these maps since 1960 (Showa 35) for the purpose of providing basic information on the natural conditions of land necessary for disaster prevention measures, land use, land conservation, regional development, etc. It was planned based on valuable experiences with natural disasters such as floods and high tides caused by Typhoon Kathleen in 1947 and the Ise Bay Typhoon in 1959. The content consists of three elements: topographic classification, ground height (ground elevation lines are displayed every 1 meter), and various related organizations and facilities. The scale is 1:25,000, and multi-colored land condition maps have been published.
