1559‐1647 (Eiroku 2‐Shoho 4) A haiku poet from the early Edo period. Family name: Saito, given name: Motonobu, commonly known as Saigū-no-kami, became a priest and became a monk named Tokugen. Alternative name: Hotei. Son of Oda Hidenobu's magistrate, Shoinken Mototada. Born in Gifu. Satomura Shōtakumon. Served under Toyotomi Hidetsugu during the Bunroku era (1592-96), and composed Konoe Sanmyakuin Tendokugin Gyōchō Haikai around this time. Later, he served Hidenobu, and in the autumn of 1600 (Keichō 5), at the age of 42, he retreated to Kajitamura in Mino Province after the defeat at Sekigahara, and then fled to Wakasa, where he served Kyogoku Tadataka as a page. 1559‐1647(永禄2‐正保4) 江戸前期の俳人。姓は斎藤,名は元信,通称は斎宮頭,入道して徳元。別号は帆亭。織田秀信の代官正印軒元忠の子。岐阜の人。里村昌琢門。文禄年間(1592‐96)豊臣秀次に仕官,このころに《近衛三藐院(さんみやくいん)点独吟魚鳥俳諧》が成る。のち秀信に仕え,1600年(慶長5)42歳の秋,関ヶ原敗戦によって美濃加治田村へ退き,若狭に亡命,京極忠高に小姓衆として仕官する。《塵塚誹諧集》冒頭には,〈雪や先とけてみづのえねの今年〉(1612)の歳旦句が見える。 出典 株式会社平凡社世界大百科事典 第2版について 情報 |
