A Tokiwazu-bushi tayu (a type of chanter in the Tokiwazu style). (1) The first was the former name of the second Tokiwazu Mojitayu. (2) The second (1755-1802, ∥ Horeki 5-Kyowa 2) was the younger brother of the first. His first name was Yamatodayu. He took the name as the second in November 1787 (Tenmei 7). He was a powerful member of the school, but failed in his attempt to succeed the third Mojitayu, and was excommunicated in 1799 (Kansei 11). He established a school under the name Azuma Kunidayu, but died violently in June 1802 (Kyowa 2). He took the name Keihashi, and was also called Ohashi no Kanetayū. 常磐津節の太夫。(1)初世 2世常磐津文字太夫の前名。(2)2世(1755‐1802∥宝暦5‐享和2) 初世の弟。初名大和太夫。1787(天明7)11月2世襲名。一門の実力者であったが,3世文字太夫を相続しようとして失敗,99年(寛政11)破門され,吾妻国太夫を名のって一派を立てたが,1802年(享和2)6月横死。恵橋と号し,また大橋の兼太夫と呼ばれた。(3)3世(1761‐1814∥宝暦11‐文化11) 2世の門弟。
