Battle Axe - Tofu

Japanese: 闘斧 - とうふ
Battle Axe - Tofu
A striking or throwing weapon with an axe-shaped blade. Also called a battle axe. There are stone and metal products. Apart from axes for felling trees, processing, and digging, battle axes made specifically for fighting appeared in Mesopotamia around 4000 BC (based on carbon-14 dating; same below). They are polished stone products or clay imitations of them, with a circular hole in the center for inserting a handle, and either an axe-shaped blade on both ends, or a blade on one end and a hammer-shaped end on the other.
