Goejongdong Ruins - Goejongdong Ruins (English)

Japanese: 槐亭洞遺跡 - かいていどういせき（英語表記）Koejŏngdong‐yuji

A tomb site from the Plain Pottery (Bronze Age) period located in Goejeong-dong, Daejeon, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. It is famous for the unearthing of a collection of artifacts that show a combination of pottery and bronze. It was discovered by chance in 1967 and investigated by the National Museum of Korea. The tomb is located on a low hill and has a pit-style stone chamber built 2.7m below ground level. The interior dimensions of the four walls, made of piled natural stones, are approximately 2.2m in length and 50cm in width. The upper half of the chamber is badly damaged and unknown. A 2cm-thick rotten wooden section was found at the bottom of the chamber, which may be a trace of a wooden coffin.

大韓民国忠清南道大田市槐亭洞にある無文土器(青銅器)時代の墳墓遺跡。土器と青銅器などの組合せがわかる一括遺物を出土して著名である。1967年に偶然に発見され，国立中央博物館によって調査された。墳墓は，低い丘陵地にあって，地表下2.7mの深さに竪穴式の石室を築いていて，自然石を積み上げた四壁の内法は，長さ約2.2m，幅約50cmを測る。石室の上半部は破壊がひどく不明である。石室の底面には，厚さ2cmほどの腐食した木質部分がみられたが，木棺の痕跡であるかもしれない。
