Japanese: 導尿 - どうにょう

〘 noun 〙 A catheter is inserted into the bladder through the urethra to allow urine to be excreted. This is done when a person is unable to urinate on their own, such as when the bladder's contractile force is weakened or abdominal pressure cannot be applied.
