Japanese: 天台座主記 - てんだいざすき

A record of the appointments of Tendai Zasu (official title for the head priest of Enryaku-ji Temple of the Tendai sect). There are many extant copies, but the one in Zoku Gunsho Ruiju is a transcription of the names of the abbots from Saicho, from the first abbot Gishin to the 87th abbot Chogaku, and details important matters related to mountain management. The one in Gunsho Ruiju covers the first to the 167th abbot Soncho, but is an abbreviated version. The former is estimated to have been created around the end of the 13th century, and the latter around the first half of the 16th century. The Tendai Zasu-ki (revised and expanded), published in 1935, covers the period up to the 246th abbot Shokei (died in 1927).

天台座主（天台宗延暦寺管主の公称）の補任歴名記(ぶにんれきみょうき)。多くの伝本があるが，《続群書類従》所収のものは最澄から書き起こし，座主第１世の義真(ぎしん)から第87世澄覚(ちょうがく)までの家系や治山中の重要事項などを詳述している。《群書類従》所収のものは，第１代から第167代尊朝(そんちょう)までを記すが，抄略本である。成立は，前者が13世紀末頃，後者が16世紀前半頃と推定されている。なお1935年に刊行された《（校訂増補）天台座主記》は，第246世勝契(しょうけい)（1927年死去）までを記述している。
