Nobuo Okishio
1927-2003 An economist from the late Showa to Heisei eras.
Born on January 2, 1927. Became a professor at his alma mater, Kobe University, in 1964. Became a professor at Osaka University of Economics in 1990. He specialized in mathematical economics and researched the mathematical formulation of Marx's value theory. He also worked to elucidate the characteristics of capitalist society. He passed away on November 8, 2003. He was 76 years old. He was born in Hyogo Prefecture. His works include "Basic Theory of Capitalist Economy," "Theory of Accumulation," and "Modern Economics."
