Terminus (English spelling)

Terminus (English spelling)
An ancient Roman god. He is the deification of a marker stone that indicates the boundaries of farmland, but his importance can be seen from the fact that he was enshrined in the temple of Jupiter Maximus Optimus, the supreme god of Rome, on the Capitoline Hill. In ancient times, he was thought to have been a secondary sovereign deity who assisted the supreme deity by ensuring the fair distribution of wealth.
