1924‐2002 Polish director. Known for his orthodox classical theatre direction. At a young age, he was director of the New Theatre in Lodz (1949-61), and later moved to the National Theatre in Warsaw, but was dismissed in 1968 and neglected for four years until he returned to the Grand Theatre in Lodz in 1972. The reason for this was that at the end of February 1968, the National Theatre's production of Mickiewicz's classical verse drama "The Feast of the Fathers" was banned for being "anti-Soviet," which led to the "March Incident." 1924‐2002 ポーランドの演出家。
