Imperial Academy of Fine Arts
Established in 1919 as an advisory body to the Minister of Education, it made recommendations for the development of art. Its main task was to hold the Teiten Exhibition, which it attempted to absorb non-governmental groups into the official exhibition, but failed. In 1937, it established the Imperial Art Academy and reformed the official system.
