[Died] July 1, 1976. Wuxi, Jiangsu. Chinese politician and man of letters. Pen name Luo Fu. Studied at the University of California in 1921, and joined the Chinese Communist Party in 1925. Studied at Sun Yat-sen University in Moscow in 1927. Returned to China in 1930, opposed the Li Lisan Line, and served as head of the Peasant Department and Propaganda Department of the Communist Party's Central Committee. In 1933, he entered the Jiangxi Soviet District, and served as Secretary of the Central Committee Secretariat and Propaganda Department. In 1934, he was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of the Chinese Soviet Government, and in 1935, General Secretary at the Zunyi Conference. He became First Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Party Central Committee in 1939, and was made a Central Committee member and a member of the Politburo at the 7th National Congress in 1945. He was appointed the second ambassador to the Soviet Union in 1951, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1954, and became Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1955 (retired in 1959). At the 8th National Congress in 1956, he was elected a Central Committee member and a candidate member of the Politburo, but was criticized as a rightist at the Lushan Conference in 1959. He was further criticized as an anti-party element during the Cultural Revolution and was imprisoned. He was rehabilitated in 1979. He is the author of many books and translations, including the novel "Journey."

中国の政治家，文学者。筆名は洛甫。 1921年カリフォルニア大学に留学し，25年中国共産党に入党。 27年モスクワの孫逸仙大学に留学。 30年帰国して李立三路線に反対し，共産党中央農民部長，宣伝部長を歴任した。 33年江西ソビエト区に入り，中央委員会書記局書記，宣伝部長などをつとめ，34年中華ソビエト政府人民委員会主席，35年遵義会議で総書記に選ばれた。 39年共産党中央委員会書記局第一書記を経て，45年七全大会で中央委員，政治局委員となり，51年第2代ソ連駐在大使，54年外交部副部長を兼任，55年同副部長専任 (1959退任) ，56年八全大会で中央委員，中央政治局委員候補に選ばれたが，59年盧山会議で右傾分子として批判された。さらに文化大革命時期に反党分子として再批判され監禁された。 79年名誉回復。長編小説『旅途』など多くの著作や翻訳がある。
