Chukchi-Kamchatkan language family - Chukchi-Kamchatkan

Japanese: チュクチ･カムチャツカ語族 - チュクチカムチャツカごぞく（英語表記）Chukuche‐Kamuchatkan

It is found in the northeastern corner of Asia, adjacent to the areas of the Tungusic, Yukaghir, and Eskimo-Aleut languages, and is made up of Chukchi, Kerek, Alyutl, Koryak, and Kamchadal (or Itelmen). In terms of closeness within the family, Kamchadal is the most distant from the other four. It has an ergative construction, and most languages show vowel harmony, a type of incorporation that can incorporate a noun stem into a verb. There is no certainty about its genealogical relationship with other languages in the world, and for convenience it is included in the Old Asian languages.

ツングース諸語，ユカギール語，エスキモー･アレウト語族の語域に隣接するアジアの北東端に分布し，チュクチ語，ケレク語，アリュトル語，コリヤーク語，カムチャダール語(またはイテリメン語)からなる。語族内の親近性は，カムチャダール語が他の4言語から隔たっている。能格構文があり，ほとんどの言語が母音調和をしめし，動詞のなかに名詞幹を抱きこみうる類の抱合語である。世界の他の言語との系譜関係については，なんら確実なことはわかっておらず，便宜上，旧アジア諸語にふくめられている。
